Chopper

Chopper's story is a heart richening one. He came to AJHR the same time Brandy did. At that time he was 200 pounds under weight and his beautiful mane was full of tangles from not being brush. We nurse him back to health and just when we started trail trailing he fell into cholla and got cholla poisoning. After he recovered from that we adopted him out to one of our young volunteers at Christmas. Chopper was very happy for about a month than he must have fallen because his ribs became separated. Even after three chiropractic visits the ribs didn’t heal.

I'll be your companion

Chopper is now back at the rescue looking for a good home, he’ll never be ridden again but would make a great companion horse. Right now he is recovering from a server sunburn face from a reaction to MSM; yes this baby just can’t get a break in life. Even after all that happen to him he remain loving and sweet. All he wants out of life is to be loved.

I Need to be Adopted

One baby, two babies, how many babies we don't know. Honey is a 20 year old broodmare quarter horse. She a bit on the thin side, but we are slowly putting weight on her. She quiet, sweet and gently , she'll let anyone ride her from a child to a full grown male adult. Charlie (Alex & Charlie on adopted page) was her last foal. She'll make someone a great friend.

Me Too...

Ronnie is our baby at the rescue. When she came to us, she was very shy, we couldn't’t get near her. Now our other horses has taught her that people are a good thing. She has become very loving and very pretty. Regular visitors to the rescue have starting to call her a horse of a different color, because ever time they see her she changes color. She went from Black & brown to Black & white (true of Blue roams) She now has her summer coat with all black. She is a beautiful filly. Ronnie won’t be started under saddle until she three, so the next year we will ground train her, and just watch her grow. She just like any two year old, full of wonder and is just interested in playing.
